spokenlikeachampion: Regarding the Anon. who felt ill after fatty foods, I should like to point out something that many don't realise: food passes through the stomach in a matter of hours but can stay in the lower intestine for as long as two days so even when you think it's long gone your body is still digesting it. Furthermore large amounts of fat can cause the intestines great irritation. I think our Anon. will start to feel better very soon :)

I've been eating clean for a couple of years now, but a couple of days ago I eat I bunch of stuff that I don't usually eat like french fries, popcorn and some other fatty foods - i didn't binged but im just not used to eating that way. The next two days i felt really sick from my stomach ... could it be because my body is not used to that food?

Hey there! Oh yes, I think that is definitely why you feel sick. When you’ve kind of cleaned out your body and you’ve only been eating healthy, then out of nowhere you assault your body with all of these food like substances that it doesn’t recognize it is going to reject them. I’m so sorry you feel so ill! :( Just try to rest, drink a lot of water which will flush everything out, and maybe do some gentle yoga if you feel like it. But don’t beat yourself up, and just continue on eating healthy and what makes you feel good! :) Feel better soon! xxoo
