I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen to your body! Today I had to get up super early, then I did Insanity- Cardio Recovery which is mostly stretching and some deep muscle work. I felt awesome afterwards. My normal day would’ve been weights and a run after I got home from running some errands in the morning, but my body was sooo fatigued and I had an inkling of a sore throat. I work out about 6 days a week, and have one total rest day. Now if this had been a year and a half ago, I would’ve pushed through ANYTHING, and worked out no matter what. But today I’m just eating a TON of fruit, resting and just lazing around for the rest of today. It feels AMAZING! Pay attention to your body’s signals, and if you feel like you need to take a day off even if it isn’t in your “schedule” please do it. I eat just as much if not MORE calories on my rest days, because I know my body is recovering from the hard workouts. Your body knows what’s right for it, all you need to do is listen.
